The site is maintaintain by rallyschool.co.uk the sponsors of the 2012 BTRDA Rally First Championship
Rally First is an established championship within the Btrda forest series and was introduced back in 2008 as a starting point for drivers to enter the world of forest stage rallying.
Rallyschool have taken up a sponsorship title on the series which will see prize money being won on every round, details will be added as available but the money will be spread over several overall places, hopefully down to fifth.
Details of the championship and the regulations can be found on www.btrdarally.com. A brief outline is 1400cc production cars with no major modifications, keeping things as affordable as posible.
In the four years to date the cars have varied from Vauxhall Corsa, Toyota Yaris, Nissan Micra, MG ZR, VW Lupo, Mazda 2, Peugeot 106, Citroen C2 and even a mk1 Ford Escort, so plenty of choice. Bhp seems to range from 70 to 100 but power to weight seems to be well balanced and i would say the driver rules.
As title sponsors rallyschool will be hoping everybody will join with them in supporting one another leading to an increase of awareness to potential new crews.
